Service Description

The Texas LTC/Open Carry RANGE ONLY class details handgun use, emphasizing safety and tests your proficiency with a revolver and semi auto firearm. Students will shoot prior to the test as a warm up and will finish up the range qualification test. The “Test” Consists of firing a total of 50 rounds using a specific course of fire. The pistol must be a minimum of .22 caliber. You may qualify with a revolver or semi-auto pistol. I recommend you qualify with a semi-auto that can hold a minimum of 10 rounds. Effective Sept. 1, 2017 – There is no minimum caliber requirement of the handgun used to demonstrate proficiency.
